Pond Skater

Getting your game ready…

How to play

Stop on the flower

Slide the water strider onto the flower landing. Use an arrow, swipe or direction button to choose a straight line. Once a slide starts, the strider keeps going until a stone or the pond boundary stops it. You cannot stop halfway along a clear lane.

Use the stopping edges

Reach the goal by stopping on its square. Sliding across it on the way to a wall does not finish the puzzle. A direction blocked immediately by a stone leaves you where you are. Plan from the square where the whole slide will end.

Try another line

The eight pond layouts are fixed puzzles. Undo returns you to before a slide; Restart brings back the selected pond’s starting position. There is no clock, so trace a possible route before moving. You can revisit a pond to try a shorter route.

Strategy

Work back from the landing

Find the stone or boundary that could stop you on the flower. Then ask where you need to start that final slide. The route may first move away from the goal so you can approach it along the right row or column.

Let walls do the aiming

A stone is not only an obstacle. Stopping beside it can line up your next direction. Compare the end squares of all four slides before choosing the one that looks closest to the flower; closeness alone does not make the next slide useful.

About the game

A pond of long moves

Pond Skater turns each direction into a complete glide across smooth water. The chunky stones make stopping places visible, while the strider stays small enough to read its square. Pond choice, completion and best slide counts are remembered; unfinished positions are not.
