The walls are solid, and touching your own body ends the run. The snake speeds up as your score grows. Start when you are ready, and use Space or the pause control for a break. Filling the whole board completes the game.
Before approaching a mango, plan how you will leave that area. A short route can be a trap if your growing body closes the exit. Wide loops keep more of the board available.
At higher speeds, waiting until the wall is one square away leaves little margin. Steer early and avoid repeatedly crossing your own route. Watch the tail as well as the head: space opens as the tail moves.
This version keeps Snake’s simple grid movement and solid-wall rules. There are no power-ups or surprise hazards: the changing challenge comes from a longer body, a quicker pace and the routes you leave yourself.
